The cheapest and easiest way to go is to purchase a standard tub that you can find at just about any hardware store. If you are looking for something relaxing and are not concerned with the amount of money you are going to spend then you may want to buy a spa tub. These tubs require more work and planning but anyone who has one will tell you that they are worth every penny. Freestanding bathtubs are making a comeback and are very affordable and classy.

Now, that you know your options you will need to decided on which type of tub you are going to purchase, then check with your plumber and make sure that there is not going to be any price differences with the tub you have chosen.
