Val Emmich – Get On With It
Posted by: | Comments
"Songs can be powerful tools…like weapons" muses New Jersey singer-songwriter Val Emmich. "In the past, the weapons of choice for warfare were swords, spears, even longbows – things that could do damage from a distance. Knives and daggers were for more intimate occasions." You might find this talk of weaponry perplexing coming from an artist discussing the significance of his new album's title. Then again, if you're familiar with Emmich and his work, you know there’s often meaning lurking beneath the surface. "With knives and daggers," he adds, "you had to figure out how to get close enough to use them."

What have you done to increase the Philippine’s wealth and prestige?
Posted by: | CommentsThe Philippines is considered a poor and oppressed nation, it’s people driven into international migration.
As an ordinary Filipino, what are you doing to alleviate this? What have you done to increase the Philippine’s wealth and prestige?
Well I have paid my taxes to provide funding for government projects and what not. That alone is enough contribution for a citizen to his country’s wealth.
To Filipinos, migration is a survival and I appreciate those who endures homesickness being in foreign lands to improve their family’s lives instead of rallying/ protesting in the street that the government has done nothing to improve Filipinos lives.
What is a good way to learn how to save your money?
Posted by: | Comments
Put some percentage of your pay into savings as soon as you get paid. How much depends on your specific circumstances. If someone else (like parents) are paying your bills, put at least 50%; 10% is the minimum recommended. If you’re paying your own bills and 10% doesn’t seem possible, start smaller; put $50 in savings each month and live off the rest. Once you get comfortable with that amount, increase it to $75 or more. Then repeat. If you have direct deposit, see if your company can split the deposits between checking and savings account. Once you put money in savings, only take it out if it’s an emergency.
How to get out of Credit Card Debt?
Posted by: | CommentsWhat is the best way to get out of credit card debt. We are not filing bankruptcy. Please, helpful advise only.
1. Throw away your credit cards
2. Pay the minimum balance on each (if you have more than one)
3. Try and pay the smallest debt off first… then take what you would normally spend and tack it onto the next debt.
example:
you owe $5000 on MasterCard… minimum payment is $130.
You owe $8000 on Visa… minimum payment is $240.
Total monthly: $370.
Once the $5000 is paid off, take the $130 and add it to the $240… Visa payment would be $370…
and so on.
It will cause some serious sacrifice, but you will be able to pay your debt off a lot sooner.
how do i get rich, for real?
Posted by: | CommentsI need ot take care of my parents, they deserve better then this shithole we in. and im tired of being fdeperessed i want to work hard. what do ii do where do i start??
Seems like you’re really pissed about your life. Just make sure it isnt a passing thing. Being rich takes a lot of hard work and dedication at the expense of your personal life. You gotta sacrifice what feels good and work work work.
If you have a good education, work for a corporation, show some actual results and slowly but surely climb the corporate ladder for a good paycheck.
If you dont have a good education, learn to do some physical labor and learn the skills. Otherwise be a salesman.
The salesman way is the fastest but most challenging way. See the Will Smith movie "Pursuit of Hapiness" =)
Learn everything you can.
All the best!
