what is the best way to save money without using the bank?
Byi am terrable at saving money, i am an impulse buyer and usually if i am out and i have money, i will spend it. i feel naked without it though, i guess you could say i am a shopaholic. what can i do to save my money.
ps. i dont really like using the bank, i have 1 bank account because one of my jobs is direct deposit, but i get written checks for my other job.
I’ve heard of these glass pink pigs where you hide your money in them, and to get it out you have to break the pig…

have someone you trust hold onto your money. take out a certain amount from every paycheck and let them hold onto it. preferably not someone who you live with.. that way you wont have such easy access to the money.

Buy Treasury notes. Then see a psychologist about your spending addiction – that’s the REAL problem.

Go to Walmart and buy a fireproof safe….a lot of people like to save their money in them you can get them in all sizes from real small to huge..their not that expensive either you can also put important papers in them…I would recommend this. Australia you want your money to be safe
…and don’t worry…a lot of us like to spend

you are going to need a bank acct to deposit those checks into –
NOT putting the money into a bank will make it even easier to spend
open a mutual fund acct with automatic monthly deposits – once that money gets transferred to the acct each month (or more frequently), you won’t be able to spend it
