Sometimes when we …
Sometimes when we see behind the scene footage from movie sets, it can be very discouraging…a hundred people standing all over, confusion…it feels as though its a daunting task and perhaps it is…but you can make a movie with just you, directing and doing the camera work…you can even get by with no lights…digital cameras pick up all available light…with film you must light because what you see through the view finder is not what you will get…digital, what you see is what you get.

Thanks alot for your video,
i’m an aspiring film director who has just started planning videos. i actually loved the point where you said that its best not to make many youtube videos and invest time in feature length films.
hopefully i can post to you some films that i would have made in the near future.
Thanks alot

assuming your not …
assuming your not paying them then you are at thier mercy…people act jazzed about your project than are nowhere to be found when your able to film…concentrate on and use those who wont let you down…in my case i use my family as much as possible, some friends too…cast way in advance and if you know someone is sketchy, try to get all thier scenes done in one day…again, use your most reliable actors for the biggest rolls…you cant depend on some people.hope this helped.

Yeah, exactly what …
Yeah, exactly what I needed to know. I’m planning on making a movie set in ancient middle east (unknown exact time and place). I’m lucky enough to live near some beautiful mountains…the city is practically surrounded in high mountains. The movie is in pre-production, but I hope that it will be finished by this time next year.

I have a Canon HG10 camcorder, and have Sony Vegas as software with some effects on it, I might start filming a “Silent Hill” kind of movie with some friends, I just haven’t found the right place, I need a kind of ghost town to do the shootings.
