Acer ASPIRE ONE ram upgrade tutorial
By
www.ried.cl
See step by step how to upgrade your Acer ASPIRE ONE ram to 1 GB or 1,5 GB (maximum). Inside this laptop there is a 512 MB ram soldered in the mainboard, so you can only add a PC4200 533 Mhz 512 MB / 1024 MB module. However, even Windows Vista works like a charm only with 1 GB ram in this netbook
Windows Vista Business Experience Index with 1.5 GB RAM / 120 GB HDD / Atom 1.6 HT:
CPU SCORE: 3
RAM SCORE: 4.5
WINDOWS AERO GRAPHICS: 3.9
3D GRAPHICS: 2.7
HDD SCORE: 4.9
pretty good, huh? (constantly there are 600-800 MB of memory usage)

We have the Acer Aspire One D250 (ultra-thin version) and I was planning to follow this video for installing my 2GB module. I flipped the Netbook over and saw a door! Took the door off and there was the old RAM. Just popped the old one out, put the new one in, and closed the door. Whoo-hoo! Much better!

excelent tutorial, …
excelent tutorial, had to do one of these at work the other day and the guide really helped, though I didnt need to remove the daughter card or the 2 screws on the top left, managed to squeeze the mainboard out without removing.
Annoyingly I didn;t realise 2Gb RAM wouldnt work (or that the memory was in the hardest place!) but I got a 1Gb DIMM working nicely, great vid! First time around took me about 30min to get to the RAM, but by the end of the day I got it down to an art!
Good vid 5/5
