I have a newer computer, Gateway GT5670 with AMD Phenom 8400 triple core processor and 3 Gigs of Ram. I have had no problems with Vista on my machine. I guess I’m one of the lucky ones, I have heard a lot of horror stories.

I do have a more …
I do have a more negative view of Vista being a computer tech. I get to see it at its best and its worse.

Check out my “11 months of with Vista ” videos.

My advice is to stay away from it for now.

Hi Bruce, A+ on …
Hi Bruce, A+ on your review. I think your comments were spot on for those of us that are computer users but aren’t necessarily IT guys, or know all of the ins-and-outs. After hearing your review, as well as the opinion of a few others that are in agreement – there’s just no compelling reason to upgrade at this point other than to say you are running the “latest and greatest.”

Thanks for the comment. Vista is stable, that is true enough. The real question is it a compelling upgrade for the millions of small business class machines with celeron chips and 512 meg ram? Nope.
