Why don’t the very rich (multimillionaires and billionaires) want to pay more tax? How did they get so rich?
ByDo they work very hard? Don’t people who work for minimum pay work hard also?
Why should minimum pay be so low? So that the rich get richer?
Did Madoff work very hard?
Is Madoff a lawyer or doctor?
How about the CEOs who where the reason for their companies to fail and got so much bonuses? Are they doctors or lawyers?

Why do they want to keep MORE of their STOLEN money? I mean the money they stole from ordinary people? by not paying them their fare share?

I am talking about the filthy rich who are Republicans or Democrats. Both are the same.

Why don’t they keep less of the billions for themselves and give the employees their fair share?
What are they going to do with billions? How many homes and cars do they need? Do they need to take baths in money?

First of all the rich a most likely doctors and lawyers
They had to go to college for a long time. Which cost money
They earn the money back by working. Plus Doctor have to pay a bunch of money each year to have a doctors license .
If you donate to charity that pays off your tax (Ex. if you donate instead of having a garage sell you don’t have to pay all of you taxes.)

I understand what you are saying, but at the same time, it is their money, not yours or mine. I mean yeah, it would be nice to have more money, but it doesn’t mean we should just be able to take it from them. It is theirs to do with as they wish. (I am Independent and I am torn on this issue, but lean towards that we have no right to it even though it would be helpful, it is not ours to take.)

A hard fact of life is this:
The truest form of freedom is economic freedom.
When you keep more of your own money and spend it the way you want to spend it, you are freer than the person whose gov’t confiscates huge chunks of money for "free" social programs.
It’s a terrible idea to "soak the rich". Without wealth, our society will crumble. It’s small minded and foolish not to accept this.

Because they are selfish bastards who only got rich by either A) Exploiting others B) Inheriting money from people who exploited others.
They don’t think their precious money should go to help others less fortunate than themselves because "I went to college and got a great job, why can’t they? Who cares if I have white privilege and my parents paid for everything?"

I’m sorry but you don’t get rich by sitting on your ass at home. Of course they work hard but so do I and so do many people. They got rich in different ways but it didn’t just come to them. The rich are getting richer but that is capitalism for you. Minimum wage in the states is shockingly bad but even if you increase it people will still struggle. If you had a great idea and it sold millions would you be feeling guilty for having money? I don’t think so.
Some are honest and some are crooks but you get the same thing with the poor and middle class.

To your 1st question do millionaires and billionaires work hard , of course. Before they were rich they were not sitting at home going on the internet on Yahoo Answers complaining that the rich doesn’t want to pay more taxes. No they had an idea of a product or a service that anyone can use, they invest money and years to build their business into an empire.
If you are complaining why the minimum pay is low don’t ask us on Yahoo Answer call your state senator.

Why should anyone want to pay more taxes into a system chock full of waste and inefficiency? What many people miss is that the wealthy create jobs. I have seen people all upset about making low wages in a fast food shop, and as they complain about wanting to be paid more, they are putting food into $50,000 ovens and $40,000 walk in coolers and did you know that these kind of employees are protected by very very expensive insurance plans, not health insurance mind you, just liability coverage and on the low end can run thousands of dollars. If the owner didn’t invest her/his own money into all the capital expenses needed, there wouldn’t be the 15 jobs for the staff inside. If the owner has opened a few or a small chain of stores, why shouldn’t she/he have a full right to the gain? If the taxes are too high on those earnings then there would be less money to build the next store, and thus delaying the creation of new jobs. Also, if it is too difficult for someone to invest in a good business then they may just not risk their savings to grow a new business, and that hurts everyone. Not all wealth is created by sweat equity, sometimes brain power is the tool that has won over, and deserve to get paid. now people like Madoff actually lied to get people’s money,
