No. Keep life insurance and investments separate.

Universal or Whole life??

Not really,, but at least you would be saving something,,,

You can earn a fair interest rates, you will rarely get better than 5% on a large cash value policy, Figuring you bank a $100 a month, you’d only have 120-k in 40-yrs,

Some policies will pay out a large sum to you,, if you live long enough, like to 95 or 100,,,

For people that are already wealthy, sure….not for people that make less than $100k per year as there are generally better alternatives that are taxed-advantaged. Wealthy people don’t have as many tax havens, so it makes it a bit better, but still only for 5%…maybe 10% (from the hip) of their assets.

Also, if you want life insurance forever, then that’s another reason to get something permanent.

See its always better to take both of these separately but if you take ULIP policies for the long period say it 12 to 15 years these policies can give you good returns. So choice is yours every investment for long term is always good. Why I am saying this because Insurance companies deduct some charges from the customer which are high for first 3 years, so if you are thinking to invest for 3 years as most of the people doing leave the idea to invest in insurance. In that case you can take separate term plan(Term plans are those plans which will only cover your life risk and you will not get any thing back when the term will end) for your self and do SIP(systematic Investment plan) from any of the Mutual Fund companies.
